You are invited to attend the 29th Annual Conference of the Association of
Seventh-day Adventist Librarians at Andrews University. This is a wonderful
opportunity to learn from presentations, share your ideas and practices, network
with colleagues, and participate in the discussions. Plan to come through the
new entrance, worship at the Pioneer Memorial Church, tour the James White
Library, and have a glimpse of the Howard Performing Arts Center. You will also
get a chance to see some changes in the James White Library, eat in the remodeled
Cafeteria, join the local and off-campus tours, and many more!
We are proud to let you know that our keynote speaker is Dr. Larry Hardesty,
founding director of the Library Directors' Mentor Program and retired college
librarian. Dr. Hardesty served as the president of ACRL (1999-2000) and
chair of the ACRL National Conference (2003). He is also a recipient of the
Academic/Research Librarian of the Year award (2002). See

for more information.
Activities will start on Saturday, June 20, with an afternoon tour to Battle
Creek. On Sunday, June 21, there will be pre-conferences sponsored by the
Adventist Resources Section and the School Library Section. The poster session
and opening reception will be in the late afternoon. The full conference starts
on Monday, June 22 and ends with a banquet on Thursday, June 25. Two big tours
are in store for you at this conference.
