On Wednesday, June 25, the planning committee has put together a fun-filled
tour day. We will meet at the LLU Library for breakfast before boarding a
comfortable tour bus.
Our first and longest stop will be at the famous Huntington Library &
Gardens (http://www.huntington.org/) in
San Marino. An exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the library and conservation
labs as well as an extensive tour of the gardens, grounds and galleries has been
arranged especially for ASDAL. We will also be given time to explore the
Huntington and eat a light lunch on our own.
Our second stop will be at the Getty Center in Los Angeles
(http://www.getty.edu/visit/). We will
have nearly three hours to explore this amazing facility.
Our third and final stop will be at Santa Monica's famous 3rd street promenade
first for a lively Italian dinner at Buca di Beppo
(http://www.bucadibeppo.com/) and then
time for a leisurely stroll around the promenade (good shopping, bookstores,
interesting people) before the bus picks us up to head back to Loma Linda.
