CALL FOR POSTERS AND EXHIBITS

This is an invitation to those who would like to present posters or exhibits at the 22nd Annual Conference of the Association of Seventh-day Adventist Librarians which will be held at the Universidad Adventista del Plata (River Plate Adventist University) in Entre Rios, Argentina from Wednesday, June 26 to Sunday, June 30, 2002. Space will be provided at the entry hall of the E. I. Mohr Library for people to set up their posters and exhibits. Submission deadline is April 15, 2002. Presenters will be notified regarding the status of their proposal one month after the submission deadline.

POSTERS

A poster is a professional, scholarly presentation in visual form which requires the presenter to be by his/her poster to make brief, oral presentations or to answer questions. Each person is allotted a space of 4 feet x 2.4 feet with a back panel of 4 feet x 3 feet.

EXHIBITS

Exhibits are informal visual displays of library materials, activities, photos, etc. which are informative in nature. Each person is allotted a 4 feet x 4 feet area in particle board panels. If necessary, a 1 foot x 1.5 feet shelf can be attached to the panel upon request.

SELECTION

Proposals will be evaluated based on their relevance to the theme of the conference, the interests and needs of the attendees, their contribution to the developing body of knowledge associated with the field, and clarity of expression. The balance of the program will also be considered.

INSTRUCTIONS

Poster presenters, bring a sufficient number of handouts explaining the posters. Presenters and exhibitors, have a sufficient supply of business cards to give away and a sign up sheet to record names and addresses of those seeking further information. Bring foldable boards, fabric to cover the tables and cords, pins, thumb tacks and whatever is necessary to show your materials. Fill out and submit the proposal form by April 15, 2002.
